Shipping, Returns & Exchanges
Delivery options
Shipping is free on UK orders over £75 and £5 on orders under £75
All jewellery will be sent by Royal Mail signed for which will include tracking and insurance of your item while in transit.
Unfortunately as of December 2024, I'm no longer able to ship to Northern Ireland.
Do you ship overseas?
International orders will be sent by Royal Mail Tracked & Signed Worldwide which is a fully insured service. The delivery aim is 6-7 working days to the rest of the World but this can vary at different times of the year. Items can also be delayed in customs. Please note that you are responsible for any import/tax charges incurred when you parcel clears customs.

Unfortunately due to Brexit legislation, I am temporarily unable to ship to Europe and Northern Ireland.
Dispatch Times
Some items are in stock and some are made to order - please see individual product descriptions for times. If you need something urgently, please email me before placing an order and I'll do my best to help: hello@maggiereadjewellery.co.uk
You will receive an e-mail when your order has been shipped. If you choose to create an online account when you check out, you can login at any time to check your order status.
Do you offer local pick up?
Yes - local pick up from my workshop in Cornhill on Tweed is available. I'll contact you when your order is ready to arrange a collection time.

Returns & Refunds
I hope you’ll be absolutely thrilled with your beautiful jewellery. Each piece is packed with great care, but if something has arrived damaged in the post, please get in touch within 14 calendar days of receiving your order so we can put it right.
If you’ve simply changed your mind, that’s no problem at all – just contact me within 14 calendar days to arrange a return for a refund or replacement. Jewellery must be returned in perfect condition and in its original packaging.
Return postage costs can only be refunded if the item was faulty or if the wrong item was sent.
I'm unable to offer refunds or replacements if the item has been damaged due to accident, neglect, or misuse.
Please note that tarnishing is a natural process and not considered a fault – you can find jewellery care advice here.
For hygiene reasons, I’m not able to offer refunds on earrings unless they are faulty.
Custom or personalised items – including commissions or jewellery made to requested sizes not generally listed on the website – may not be eligible for refund or exchange.
To keep your return safe in transit, I strongly recommend using tracked delivery. Jewellery is only insured while being returned if posted using Royal Mail’s Special Delivery service. If you choose an alternative delivery method, please be aware that it’s at your own risk and I won’t be able to refund items lost in transit unless they were properly insured.
In the unlikely event that your parcel is lost in the post, I’ll offer either a refund or a replacement (depending on availability). Please note that Royal Mail does not consider an item lost until 15 working days (for UK orders) or 25 working days (for international orders) have passed from the expected arrival date, excluding weekends and public holidays.

Packaging
Receiving your parcel should feel like a treat – from the moment it arrives to the moment you lift the lid.
Your jewellery will come carefully packaged in a beautiful, branded gift box that’s fully eco-friendly. Inside, you’ll also find a small complimentary polishing cloth to help keep your piece looking just as lovely as the day you received it.
I use recycled and eco-friendly packaging wherever possible – it’s all part of creating something thoughtful, from start to finish.
Gift Wrap
If you’re sending a gift directly to the recipient, please let me know and a handwritten note can be enclosed with the order.
You can also choose to have your order luxury gift wrapped at no extra cost.
Do you offer jewellery repairs/remodels?
I'm afraid that I don't repair or remodel jewellery but I can recommend Artizan Jewellery Boutique in Melrose.
